Camping in The Judean Desert
There is something incredibly rejuvenating about setting out and heading into the wilderness. No phones, no television, and no walls to block out the beauty around you. Man vs Nature. Don’t worry! We are not aiming to throw you to the bears (or jackals in this case). Maybe you are looking for something a little closer to home? Not to fret, we have a fabulous glamping option for those who are not looking to face dirt, face to face! Our unique and exciting glamping site is surrounded by the serene simplicity of the Negev Desert. Our site is completely built from scratch just for you! It is far from the noise of the city, and is completely catered for your every need. Our site also offers two tent options for you to choose from. Both contain quality mattresses, clean white sheets, towels, and a bathroom trailer. We also have shaded areas with tables and chairs and a traditional Middle Eastern style sitting area around an awesome campfire! Take your time making your way to our meeting point, we’ll meet at the camp site located in the middle of the Ramon Crater. From here we’ll greet you with coffee, tea, water and snacks. After we get you comfortably settled into your tent and you have a short rest, you will be invited to the lounge area around the campfire as the sun begins to set. As we talk and schmooze, the sun will begin to set and millions of tiny diamonds will begin to fill the sky. From here, we’ll have a delicious and classic campfire supper. Later if you would like, you can have the chance to go out into the desert outside your campsite with your guide to stargaze through telescopes, and get to truly experience what the sky once looked like hundreds of years ago before the pollution of electric lights came into existence. The next morning you’ll have a scrumptious Israeli style breakfast before heading back rested and refreshed.
The Birya Forest is located in the North of Israel and is one of our favorite places to go camping. We build our campsites here under the great pine trees, and as far as your eyes can stretch you will see the stunning and panoramic views of the Golan Heights, and the Hula Valley. This is a genuine, rustic, and nature-oriented camp site with no bathrooms or showers. For our fellow adventurers out there, this option is for you! Talk about being one with nature! We provide all of the camping gear you may need – tent, sleeping bag, air mattress – and we’ll arrange for your guide to spend the night with you in the Birya Forest up in the Galilee. We have all kinds of amazing places to camp out, depending on where you are, we’ll find the best place perfect just for you!
