We will start this adventure with a short 20-minute hike into a remote, secluded area. Suddenly, we will reach a large hole in the ground, hence the Arabic term, huta, which means, “big hole in the ground.” At this point, we will set up our equipment and rappel over 30 meters into the hole…Once in the cave, we will find ourselves in the middle of a wonder world of stalagmite/stalactite karstic cave. We will continue on our extreme adventure with a series of rappels (a total of 5) through small spaces to the bottom of the cave. Once at the very bottom, we will find ourselves in a small room called by spelunkers, “Sculpture’s Hall,” since it is here that each spelunker leaves their mark… Then when you thought it couldn’t get any better it does. Time to experience something we don’t usually experience, real silence. We will turn off the lights, and experience silence…. After our other-worldly experience, the real adventure begins… time to get back up…. To get back up we will use special rope equipment to climb all the way back up to where we started.
Huta 6 is one of the few Israel Extreme tours that uses S.R.T., single rope technique, to rope climb. This is classified as a challenging and technical adventurous rope climb towards the exit.
