Ramon Crater Hike

We start the hike from an outlook over the crater. We will pass through Mansaria, where there is an amazing geological phenomenon: the rocks look like symmetrically cut wood. From there, we will go to Saharonim and Parsat Nikarot, where we start climbing on the south wall of the canyon with amazing panoramic scenery and views of the crater.

We descend to Nahal Nikarot, a wide canyon with many huge boulders.  If it has rained recently, there may be water in the Nahal. After Nahal Nikarot, we will go to Ein Saharonim, a dry spring with Nabatean ruins that used to be part of the famed Spice Route.

"Exhilarating experience My husband and I had a great experience with israel extreme team. Communication, pricing, expertise was all phenomenal! Our guide Tom, was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and gave us an unforgettable experience. Both the hiking trail in the crater and the salt cave is something we will never forget, both exhilarating and thrilling! If I could give it 6 stars I would! Date of experience: February 2023"

"Dead Sea Area Desert Adventure Israel Extreme took care of all the logistics from booking our hotels to coordinating our land travel, to contracting an awesome, expert outdoor guide. All we needed to do was bring water. We hiked 12 miles around the Ramon crater. Got lowered into a salt cave at sunrise and then crawled out overlooking the sunlit Dead Sea. And on our last day rappelled down 4 mountains and dried our waterfalls. I like this program so much, I signed up my 16 year old daughter for their 2 week summer adventure program . If you're seeking adventuire in Israel, and Israel has lots of adventure to offer, call Israel Extreme. Date of experience: March 2016"
