Rosh HaNikra Tourist Site

Rosh HaNikra‎, “head of the grottos” is a geologic formation in Israel, located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, in the Western Galilee. An amazing place, it is a white chalk cliff face which opens up into spectacular grottos that are cavernous tunnels formed by sea action on the soft chalk rock. The total length is some 200 meters. They branch off in various directions with some interconnecting segments. In the past, the only access to them was from the sea and experienced divers were the only ones capable of visiting. Today a cable car takes visitors down to see the grottos.

For the very adventurous, you can kayak there instead!

"Rappeling and hiking at Keshet Cave! Our family of six just returned from a trip to Isael. Our day with Israel Extreme was a definite highlight! our guide Alon was phenomenal and expertly guided us through rapelling, hiking at Keshet Cave and then a lovely tour at Rosh Hanikra. Our children (ages 13, 11, 9 & 6) were fully engaged the entire time and we felt totally safe with Alon. We look forward to using Israel Extreme many more times in the future! Date of experience: August 2016"
