Wadi Ram

Wadi Ram

Also known as the “Valley of the Moon,”  is a unique and fascinating desert landscape in the southern part of Jordan, not far from the Saudi Arabian border. Wadi Ram is characteristic of the Jordanian high desert landscape, with rare multi-colored and pink sandstone cliffs carved by the wind and weather into fantastic shapes and towering monoliths. We will climb Mt. Jabal Al Ein, (near Jabal Ram) along an adventurous, narrow path that climbs steeply between the cliffs. Below is a view from the observation post at the top. We will then hike down to the bottom, to the village of Ram. This hike is a one-of-a-kind experience, and could be described as a narrow, steep “Bedouin goat path”!
