Yam Le Yam Hiking in Israel

Yam Le Yam Hike!

Yam Le Yam is the most beautiful trek in Israel. It crosses the whole width of the country, starting in the western Galil, climbing through Nachal K’ziv to the peak of Mt. Meron, the second-highest mountain in Israel from Achziv Beach on the Mediterranean Sea across Israel to Chof Kinneret on the Sea of Galilee. As you walk around the summit, you have a 360 view of northern Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan. The trail then goes down Nachal Amud past Mt. Arbel to Ginnosar and the beach of Yam Kinneret – the Sea of Galilee.

(Yam to Yam Hiking in Israel)

Since 1948 this has been a traditional hike for all the Israeli Youth Movements. It passes through pools and streams and encompasses the full spectrum of Israeli wildlife, flora, and fauna. It also passes historical and archeological sites. This 70 kilometers (44 miles) hike can be done over the course of three to five days, with the option of camping out or staying in hotels or B&Bs each night.

Hot in the Sun Hike!

June and September are the ideal months for you to do this. We don’t recommend doing this tour in July and Aug as it is very hot. You are still welcome to do it with us during July and August, but we just wanted to let you know how very hot it will be.
