A Little Dirt Never Hurt – ATVing Through Water
The winter rains have at last arrived in the Galilee, and all that was brown and dead is now coming to life! We will begin our adventure in the reception area of our meeting point with hot and cold refreshments. After a short briefing, we will then give you a full on training on the ATV simulation track until you are completely comfortable and fully confident in operating it. Anyone with a valid driver’s license can drive the ATV, but please remember to bring your license with you! Once we exit the Moshav through the fields, and surrounding vineyards and orchards, we will enter into the hills and Naftali Mountains. During the winter season everything is lush and green and has spectacular views that are sure to take your breath away! With its steep hills, and green forests – we now have the chance to go ATVing through water now that the rainy season has arrived! As we weave our way up and through the hills, we will be able to explore Mount Hermon, the volcano at the top of the Golan, along with the Hula Valley and Hula Lake. This spot attracts birdwatchers from all over the globe depending on the season, as this is where millions of bird’s rest from their migration between Africa and Europe. As we trek upwards, we will be driving on uneven and at times slippery, and muddy ground. We will be going up steep hills and down precipitous slopes. Prepare to get a little muddy as our wheels tear up the ground! The ATV that we use for this amazing adventure is the best on the market – the RZR – also known as the ‘razor’. It is amongst the safest models created. Yes, it is still under the four wheeler category but there are much more safety features on this model. For example, if G-d forbid, someone did flip, the RZR has a metal frame that prevents the vehicle from landing on top of a person, as well as a harness for each person to strap into. While it has the mobility to take on epic climbs and jumps, it is known for its reliability and endurance. Once we reach the highest point towards Keren Naftali, we will take a short break to enjoy some hot beverages and cookies while taking in the beauty all around. This will give us time to enjoy the views and find the perfect place for the perfect selfie! When we begin our journey back, we will either ride along the same route we came up previously or we will use an alternate one depending what your driving skills are. From either route you will be able to enjoy the views of the Bikat Kadesh and the Lebanese Mountains.
